Ways to explore: Walking District: Shatin District Highlights 路線焦點 沙田大會堂公共長凳 以「取之於社區、用之於社區」的概念,與社區團體合作,在兩個月內回收了約500公斤的河邊塑膠廢物,其中大部分是像漂白劑、洗滌劑等的高密度聚乙烯空瓶(2號HDPE)。設計團隊將這些塑膠切成塑膠粒,加以清潔、消毒、磨粉、混合,再用新設計的模具滾塑、加熱、脫模成形,最後經人工打磨成一個基本組件。僅使用兩個鋼模來生產的500個塑料組件,一塊塊以不鏽鋼桿貫穿鎖緊,相同的模塊以特定角度的旋轉形成波浪般的曲線形狀,製成公共使用的長凳,如同城門河上的淡淡漣漪。 慈濟環保願行舘館內所有修繕材料都是環保材料,包括以生長周期較短的竹料取代木材,製作地板、樓梯、門和窗框等,又以廢棄紙飯盒的防水膠膜製成磚頭,及以牛奶瓶和膠瓶製成環保塑木等。頂部的太陽能發電板為共行館提供電力。共行館遵從「7R」法則,包括尊重萬物(Respect)、盡可能維修使用(Repair)、回收再用(Recycle)、拒絕使用即棄塑膠產品(Refuse)、從源頭減量、減少過度消費及包裝(Reduce)、重複使用(Reuse)、重新思考如何減少廢棄物(Rethink)。  港鐵顯徑站港鐵顯徑站於今年9月在英國建築研究院綠色建築評估系統 BREEAM In-Use 獲得「出色」(Excellent)評級,成為全球首個榮獲此認證的鐵路車站。車站作為社區的一部份,希望盡量與周圍環境融合,所以於車站外圍安裝了3個鳥巢箱,為鳥類提供棲息的環境。車站採用太陽能光伏系統發電,室內安裝了超聲波流量計及碳排放監察裝置,以達致節能減排的效果。同時,港鐵公司與一間本地回收商合作,回收在東鐵綫道碴更換計劃產生約8,300 噸的廢棄道碴,升級再造成約440 萬塊環保磚。賦予有用資源第二生命。顯徑站使用了1,000多塊環保磚製成環保磚花盆,展現出善用鐵路資源的循環經濟。使用環保磚可以減低堆填區廢物棄置量,同時也加強市民對減少廢物和升級再造的環保意識。  Route 2 […]
