In October 2023, WWF – HK teamed up with Carbon Wallet and launched the “Sustainable Living” Community in Carbon Wallet App, inviting the public to experience green living in a fun and enjoyable way.
Carbon Wallet App is a green lifestyle reward platform in Hong Kong. Users can record their green actions, measure their carbon savings and get rewards from a low-carbon lifestyle.
Over 1500 people joined the “Sustainable Living” Community and within half a year, the community reached the target in three aspects: Eating, Living, and Commuting. Over 417,000 items were recycled and over 210,000 km walking distance was measured. The distance is equivalent to the length of 5,000 times of marathon.
WWF – HK hopes to demonstrate transparently the collective actions in achieving common goals through the app Carbon Wallet; the public realizes that reducing carbon emissions in daily life can be simple and easy; and community members inspire people around them to start a low-carbon lifestyle as well.
