We often stick to familiar routes when commuting to work or school, and while we may occasionally explore new places during our leisure time, how well do we know the community we reside in or the unfamiliar destinations we’ve visited?

WWF-Hong Kong launched an engaging campaign called “Rolling Hunting,” aimed at inspiring individuals to discover their neighborhoods and create personalized routes that highlight culturally, historically, and environmentally significant sites.

In addition, WWF-Hong Kong has partnered with HKBU for the Global Challenges course in the 2023-24 academic year, engaging 140 transdisciplinary students in researching various districts and developing innovative sustainable tour guidebooks. This hands-on project not only enhances students’ understanding of their local environment but also fosters a deeper appreciation for sustainability.

Campaign Highlights:

1. Community Exploration: Empowers participants to uncover the unique cultural and historical treasures in different neighborhoods.

2. Student Engagement: Over 140 transdisciplinary students from HKBU actively contribute to sustainability research, promoting awareness and responsibility in local contexts.

3. Sustainable Tourism Avocavy: The creation of sustainable tour guidebooks encourages responsible travel practices, benefiting both residents and visitors while preserving local heritage.
