Disposable utensils significantly impact the environment, with around 200 tonnes of plastic utensils discarded daily. In Hong Kong, despite the popularity of Taiwanese drinks, the “bring-your-own-cup” practice remains underutilized, leading to excessive waste. To address this, WWF launched the “Taste Tea in Your Own Cup” campaign from June to September 2024 with TenRen’s Tea to encourage the habit of “Bring Your Own” (BYO) .
Campaign Highlights:
- Eco-Friendly Experience: Around 2000 beverages were served in reusable cups, significantly reducing reliance on disposables.
- Sustainable Habit: By encouraging participants to embrace the BYO concept, we aim to foster lasting habits that contribute to environmental sustainability.
- Possible BYO Network Enhancement: Building upon the success of our “Taste Tea in Your Own Cup” initiative, we aspire to inspire more brands to join us in this movement and create a bigger impact.
